THE TEAM

Angelique

Future Engineer

A firm believer in the need of more women engineers, Angelique wants to be a trailblazer for future women in STEM. Learning about coding and robotics only cemented her belief in the power of STEM fields.

Umika

Future Environmental Engineer

Umika’s favorite STEM discipline is engineering, which she believes is key to really helping those in need. She thinks STEM is full of opportunities to tackle environmental challenges both big and small.

Shrusti

Future Technology Wiz

From printing food to robots and AI that can feel emotions, Shrusti’s all-in on advancing human civilization. A recent 24-hour hackathon has only sharpened her coding (and coping) skills.

Sara

Future Engineer or Orthopedic Surgeon

Having helped pass the 21st Century Cures Act, Sara knows public policy plays a fundamental role in the development of STEM in our society. In fact, she’s already been asked to meet with President Obama and is no stranger to a big stage.

A'mari

Future Pollution Fighter

Hoping to use STEM to help with issues related to overpopulation, A’mari will surely be a source of inspiration for other future women STEM professionals. Her focus? Air quality issues, which impact every human on the planet.

THE MENTORS

Angela

Senior Engineer

Angela, a mother of four, has been with ComEd for 28 years. She hopes that her mentees will dream big and never let anyone deter them from achieving their goals.

Brittanie

Work Control

Brittanie wants to see more young women embark on STEM related careers and wants all of them to know they should never be afraid to speak up or ask questions.
